Sensex recovers partially, down 86pts

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 8,802, and is now down 86 points at 8,858.

TCS, Jaiprakash Associates and SBI have slumped around 3% each to Rs 504, Rs 75 and Rs 959, respectively.

HDFC Bank has shed 2.5% at Rs 824. DLF and Ranbaxy have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 159 and Rs 145, respectively.

Infosys, HDFC and Reliance have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 1,268, Rs 1,367 and Rs 1,309, respectively.

Tata Motors has surged over 3.5% to Rs 172.

Maruti, NTPC and Reliance Communications have rallied over 2% each to Rs 714, Rs 175 and Rs 160, respectively.

Hindalco and ITC are up around 1.5% each at Rs 43 and Rs 173, respectively.
