After opening with a negative gap of 152 points at 14,413, the index touched a low of 14,394, and has now recovered partially. The index is now down 100 points at 14,465.
ICICI Bank, Maruti and Ranbaxy have tumbled over 2% each to Rs 656, Rs 636 and Rs 508, respectively.
Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, HDFC and NTPC have dropped around 2% each to Rs 431, Rs 820, Rs 2,295 and Rs 172, respectively.
DLF, SBI and BHEL have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 484, Rs 1,380 and Rs 1,678, respectively.
Tata Steel, HDFC Bank and Reliance Infrastructure are down around 1.5% each to Rs 591, Rs 1,259 and Rs 977, respectively.
Satyam has gained 1% at Rs 424. Reliance has moved up Rs 18 to Rs 2,155.
