Sensex remains flat

The Sensex is still continuing to exhibit flat movement. The index is now at 17,522, up 32 points. The NSE Nifty is 12 points higher at 5,244.

Among the Sensex-30 pack stocks, Jaiparakash Associates, Infosys and HDFC have added 1% each to Rs 150, Rs 2,767 and Rs 2,753, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Communications, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel and Hinduatan Unilever have advanced 0,5% each on the BSE.

Mahindra & Mahindra has slipped 2% to Rs 1,101. Wipro, NTPC, Maruti and TCS are down 1% each.

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,335 shares traded, 1,323 shares advanced and 911 have declined so far on the BSE.

Among the sectoral indices, realty index has added 1% to 3,397. Ansal Properties and Anant Raj Industries have added  2% to Rs 76 and Rs 138, respectively.

The other major gainers on the realty index are Parsvnath Developers and DLF, up over 1.5% each.
