The stock markets are expected to shed another 150-200 points in the near term to around 2,800, with the accounting scandals in the US dampening sentiment about technology sector stocks and the possibility of a drought hanging heavy on the old economy sector, market sources said today.
The Bombay Stock Exchan- ge sensex today slipped below the psychological barrier of 3,000 to touch a nine-month low of 2,955.1 in intra-day trading. However, it closed at 3,030.06, marking a small gain of 5.71 points over Friday
