The Nifty is trading 49 points higher at 4924.
ITC and Wipro are trading 2.8% higher at Rs 211 and Rs 492 respectively.
Ambuja Cements is up 2.6% to Rs 99. Reliance Infra and Satyam have advanced 2.3% to Rs 1,277 and Rs 494 respectively.
Bhel, Cipla and Jaiprakash Associates have advanced 2%.. NTPC, DLF, RComm, Ranbaxy are the other gainers.
HDFC and HDFC Bank are both down 2% at Rs 2,519 and Rs 1,320 respectively.
SBI is down 1.8% to Rs 1,509. ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, M&M, Hindalco and Infosys are the other major losers.
