The Sensex opened on a flat note at 9,590, and soon touched a low of 9,558. The index, thereafter, rebounded into the positive zone and touched a high of 9,665. The Sensex is now up 61 points at 9,645.
DLF has soared 7% to Rs 150. Mahindra & Mahindra has surged over 4% to Rs 286.
Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have rallied over 2% each to Rs 170, Rs 437 and Rs 938, respectively.
SBI, Tata Power and BHEL have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 1,169, Rs 793 and Rs 1,418, respectively.
Hindalco, Jaiprakash Associates and Ranbaxy are up 1.7% each.
Bharti Airtel, however, has slipped over 1% to Rs 659.
