After a flat close on the Sensex yesterday, the index today opened 75 points higher at 14,325. The Sensex is now moving sideways and is at 14,416, up 166 points.
Reliance Infrastructure has soared 3% to Rs 1,091. Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have added over 2.5% each to Rs 304 and Rs 739, respectively.
DLF, Hindalco and ICICI Bank have increased over 2% each to Rs 325, Rs 81 and Rs 711, respectively.
Hero Honda, Tata Steel, Jaiprakash Associates and Bharti Airtel are up over 1.5% each.
While Sterlite has slipped 2.5% to Rs 575.
