Amid a weakening trend overseas, silver prices fell by 0.25% to Rs 43,503 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 108, or 0.25%, to Rs 43,503 per kg in business turnover of 2,370 lots.
Similarly, silver for delivery in September declined by Rs 107, or 0.24%, to Rs 44,120 per kg in business volume of 85 lots.
Market analysts said a weak trend in precious metals in the global markets on speculation central banks will refrain from adding more stimulus to bolster global growth, weighed on silver futures here.
