SJVN hits record high on signing MoU with Saurya Urja Company

The stock moved higher by 8% to Rs 30.30, also its record high on the BSE.

SJVN has moved higher by 8% to Rs 30.30, also its record high on the BSE, after the state-owned company said that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan.

“The company has signed MoU on December 03, 2015 with the Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited for allocation of land in the solar parks being developed by them at Jodhpur & Jaisalmer in the state of Rajasthan,” SJVN said in a regulatory filing.

SJVN has plans to set up cumulative 300 MW Solar capacity in these solar parks, it added.

At 01:33 PM, the stock was up 6% at Rs 29.70 on the BSE as compared to 0.61% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex. The trading volumes on the counter more than doubled with a combined 1.41 million shares changed hands on the BSE and NSE so far.
