Soyabean, palmolein oil up on fresh buying

Prices of soyabean and palmolein oils rose by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying by vanaspati millers amid a firming global trend.

However, non-edible oils remained steady in restricted buying activity. 

Traders said fresh buying by vanaspati millers and a firming trend overseas mainly pushed up wholesale soyabean and palmolein oil prices.

In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 20 each to Rs 6,120 and Rs 5,720, respectively. 

Crude palm oil (ex-kandla) traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,120 per quintal. Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (kandla) oils also gained Rs 20 each to Rs 5,670 and Rs 5,370 per quintal, respectively.
