Steel remain steady in thin trade

Quiet conditions prevailed on the wholesale steel and iron market today with saria and other steels continued to trade at previous level in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Arrivals and offtake remained at a low ebb and volume of business restricted. Traders said absence of buying or selling by stockists amid tight money market conditions mainly kept prices unchanged.
Meanwhile, in the saria segment, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm, 16-25mm remained steady at Rs 41,200, Rs 41,900, Rs 40,600, and Rs 38,450 per tonne, respectively.
