Sugar eases on subdued demand

Sugar prices declined modestly at the Vashi Wholesale market here today due to poor demand from stockists amidst adequate stock positions.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) slipped by Rs 18 per quintal Rs 2,980/3,061 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,998/3,061.

Small sugar quality (S-30) also moved down by Rs 4/5 per quintal to Rs 2,956/3,006 as against Rs 2,961/3,010.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,956/3,006 (Rs 2,961 /3,010) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,980/3,061 (Rs 2,998/3,061)
