Sugar falls 0.24% on sluggish demand

Offloading of positions by speculators affected the price

Sugar futures for March declined by Rs 8, or 0.24% to Rs 3,292 per quintal in 8,050 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange today.

The February contract shed Rs 7, or 0.21% to Rs 3,266 per quintal in 30,170 lots.

Offloading of positions by speculators, sluggish demand and adequate supplies mainly kept pressure on sugar futures trade.
