Sun TV firms up on talk of relief from SC in Aircel-Maxis deal

Television reports suggest that the company has got relief from SC relating to Aircel-Maxis deal

Shares of Sun TV Network has moved higher by 5% to Rs 293, bouncing back 7% from intra-day low on the BSE in noon trades, after television channels reported that the company has got relief from the Supreme Court related to the Aircel-Maxis deal till July 13, 2015.

In early June, the Madras High Court dismissed the petitions filed by Sun TV and Kal Cables for quashing the asset attachment order issued by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with the Aircel-Maxis case, according to report by IANS. CLICK HERE TO READ FULL REPORT

The stock opened at Rs 286 and touched a low of Rs 274 on the BSE in early morning trade. A combined 2.57 million shares changed hands on the counter on the NSE and BSE.

At 1305 hours, the stock was up 1% at Rs 282 on the BSE.
