Tata Tea has gained in early trades on plans of acquisition and reinvention.
The stock opened at Rs 930 and gained 2.5% to a high of Rs 955. It is now up 1.2% at Rs 944. The stock is now just 7% away from its 52-week high of Rs 1,017, but has soared 120% from its 52-week low of Rs 430.
Around 13,826 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.
The company plans to work out a very aggressive and large-scale acquisition in the US. Further, international consultants are working on a rebranding strategy, as well as a new name and logo for the company.
