The US market gained ground on Friday with the Dow Jones rising 69 points to 8281. The Nasdaq was up 17 points to 1529.
Most Indian ADRs were up. Satyam gained the most at 12%. Even Sify was up 10%. Tata Motors and Tata Communications were up 5.4% and 3.9% respectively. Sterlite gained 3.4% while ICICI Bank rose 2.2%. Wipro declined 0.14%.
