US markets gain on global cues; Indian ADRs up

Global cues based on China and Europe's manufacturing data buoyed US markets on Wednesday.

The Dow added 57 points to 8,504. The Nasdaq was up 11 points at 1,845.

Indian ADRs were in the green. Satyam gained 4.5% at $3.25.

ICICI Bank and Tata Motors added 4% each to $30.73 and $8.85, respectively. Tata Communicatiosn advanced 3% to $20.24.

Infosys, Patni Computers, Genpact, HDFC Bank, Sterlite, MTNL and Dr Reddy's also moved up 1-2% each.
