Usha Martin rallies on winning of coal blocks

The stock rallied 14% to Rs 25.85 on the BSE.

Usha Martin has rallied 14% to Rs 25.85 on the BSE in otherwise weak market after the company said it has received formal communication from the Nominated Authority for allocation of Brinda and Sasai coal block in favour of the company.

The stock opened at Rs 25 and touched a high of Rs 26.85 on the BSE. The trading volumes on the counter more than doubled with a combined 2.21 million shares changed hands till 1519 hours on the BSE and NSE.
