Rumours suggest that the new SUV (internal no 949) is sharing the platform with the Giulia and will be about the size of the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. So, this will more both of a crossover and will also come with an all-wheel drive version. Alfa Romeo has managed to keep most of the details under wrap and not much is known about this SUV. There will be petrol and mostly even a diesel engine on offer. Of course the North American market will be petrol driven.
Most of the engines from the Giulia will be found in the SUV as well, and we would not be surprised if also the 503 hp strong V6 turbo from the QV will find its way under the hood in order to give the Germans like Audi SQ5, the upcoming BMW X3 M and the Mercedes GLC AMG a match.
