DSK to introduce four new bikes this year - EXCLUSIVE

DSK will be unveiling the 2015 range of the Benelli bikes at India Bike Week, however the company has plans to launch four more two-wheelers in the next one year's time. The company plans to introduce the TNT 25, Keeway Blackster 250, Keeway Superlight 200 and the TRE 1130 K Amazonas by the end of the next financial year. At the moment, the Benelli line-up consists of the TNT 300, TNT 600i, 600 GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130.
Benelli TNT 25:

The TNT 25 has a 249cc single-cylinder engine that produces 26.5bhp and 21Nm of maximum torque. This is a naked bike that weighs 137kg and should be priced at Rs 2.5 lakhs (on-road). Being a single-cylinder, the cost gets reduced and this will help DSK-Benelli to attain numbers. This will be the entry-level sports bike for Benelli brand in India. This bike will be imported from China as SKD and assembled at the company's Pune plant.
Keeway Blackster 250:

Then there will be the Keeway Blackster 250, which will be an affordable cruiser and DSK will be selling the Keeway brand under DSK, as Keeway motorcycles are developed with engineering inputs from Benelli. This engine produces 19bhp of power and 18.7Nm of maximum torque and this will be mated to a five-speed transmission. This cruiser will be priced at Rs 2.3-2.6 lakhs (on-road). This bike weighs about 170kgs and will be using fuel-injection technology. The Blackster 250 will be imported from China as SKD and assembled in the Pune plant.
Keeway Superlight 200:

Another Keeway product, which will be the entry-level bike for Benelli in India. The Keeway Superlight 200 is also a lightweight cruiser, with a 197cc parallel-twin engine that will produce 12.75bhp and a maximum torque of 14Nm and will power the rear wheel through a five-speed gearbox. The bike weighs 134kgs, and will use carburettor. This bike will be priced between Rs 1.3-1.6 lakhs. The Superlight 200 will also be imported from China as a kicked-down and will be assembled at DSK's Pune facility.
Benelli TRE 1130 K:

This is the Trek-version with 1130cc engine. The TRE 1130 K will be the new flagship for the Benelli brand and this engine will produce 123bhp from its three cylinders and this bike will be priced at Rs 11.5 lakhs. This will be imported from Italy and the production of this bike will commence a while.
