Hero to launch two new products in first half of 2016

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch two new products to widen its existing portfolio. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has plans to enter launch about 35 products in the next three years. The brand will be showcasing the HX250R at the 2016 Auto Expo, which will be in its production avatar and it will be launching a new 110cc motorbike at the Great Noida event.

Heros 250cc bike will be a naked bike and this will be followed by two more bikes with the same engine, one will be a completely faired bike and other will be an adventure one. The new HX250R will have two riding modes too, one is city and other is sport. This bike has been developed by Hero with inputs from EBR. Hero MotoCorp is ready to launch its new bike by mid-2016.The other bike is the 110cc all-new bike that will be churning about 8bhp of power and it is the same engine that powers Maestro Edge and Duet. Hero has plans to get this bike into the market immediately after the Auto Expo.

Heros profitability has shot up on the new scooters like Maestro Edge and Duet as these do not have any royalty fees to Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. The new bike will also increase the companys revenue. Hero is entering several new markets and in the coming few years, it is looking at doubling its number from 20 to 40 in a few years (with no exact timeline specified).
