Honda has been working on the Civic and also one of our favourites Civic Type R as well. The new Civic Type R isn't too far away from its launch and could be revealed at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
There have been mules out all summer with a body mixed of an all Civic and Acura front end with those strange 3 pipe exhaust systems in the middle.But this prototype looks to be the real deal with the full new body, aggressive front and of course the big rear wing that also was missing on the mules. It also has the three pipe exhaust system with 2 bigger and one smaller pipe in the middle.Power is expected to be more than the current (and pretty new) Type R.
Honda has no plans to get the performance version of the Civic, however the new Civic could be seen making its way into the Indian portfolio. Though the Japanese brand is focusing more on UVs for the Indian market, we aren't certain if the Civic will be also coming to India.
