After a joint operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the security forces, the team arrested one active terrorist and recovered the dead body of another from orchards in Bijbehara area of Anantnag on Thursday.
The arrested terrorist is injured and has been identified as Arif Hussain Bhat, a resident of Fathepora in Anantnag district.
"The killed terrorist has been identified as Adil Dass from Waghama Bijbehara. Body of the killed terrorist has been handed over to the family members after completion of the medico-legal formalities,", read an official press note.
The injured terrorist has been taken into custody and his medical treatment is underway in the hospital.
Police have registered a case in this regard. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
