Bajaj Electricals on Tuesday celebrated Indian industrialist and freedom fighter Jamnalal Bajaj's 125th birth centenary by releasing a booklet on his biography.
"On the 125th birth anniversary, Bajaj Electricals remembers Jamnalal ji's contributions in the transformation of India socially, economically and politically while also paying tribute to all those great souls who have fought for the country's freedom. The main motivation for us is to try and imbibe some of the values and ethics propagated by Jamnalal ji and try and further promote activities which were dear to him," Bajaj Electricals Chairman and Managing Director Shekhar Bajaj said.
Jamnalal Bajaj, who was an avowed Gandhian through his life, served as treasurer of the Indian National Congress for more than 20 years and worked for initiatives such as the removal of untouchability and the prorogation of Hindi.
