A Delhi Court on Wednesday dismissed Reliance Telecom Ltd's plea for postponement of examination of additional witnesses Reliance ADAG Chairman Anil Ambani and his wife Tina in the 2G case, and said no prejudice would be caused to any accused by their deposition.
Dismissing Reliance Telecom Ltd's plea, Special CBI judge O.P. Saini said that no such prayer for postponement of examination of witnesses has been made by either Anil Ambani or Tina Ambani. Anil Ambani is to appear as witness on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court declined to pass any order on Reliance Telecom Ltd's plea for stay of trial court's direction summoning Anil Ambani and other witnesses in the 2G case.
Reliance Telecom Ltd made an oral plea before an apex court bench headed by Justice G.S. Singhvi in an attempt to get an interim order for exempting Ambani from appearing in the case tomorrow.
