7 STF personnel killed, 12 injured in Sukma District Naxal attack
Seven Special Task Force (STF) personnel were killed and 12 were injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma District on Saturday.
The encounter took place in the Pidmel area of the district when a team of STF was out on an operation.
"The encounter between the Naxals and personnel took place this morning. 7 jawans martyred and 10 injured," R K Vij (DG, Anti-Maoist operation) told ANI here.
"Injured personnel are being airlifted to Raipur for better treatment," he added.
