A new survey has revealed that 80 percent of men believe that they wouldn't be paid less if they were a woman.

In the survey, which was conducted by Elle and the Center for American Progress, women were also asked if they thought that they'd see a higher salary if they were male and 70 percent said no, the Huffington Post reported.

However, when the respondents were asked why there were fewer ladies in top positions in business, the numbers looked different.

55 percent of women and 33 percent of men blamed office discrimination.

According to the Center for American Progress, 97 percent of working females are employed in spots that pay men more on average.
