A.S.Durga Prasad elected new ICAI president

Dr. A.S.Durga Prasad has been elected as the new President of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for the year 2014-15 in a council meeting held at Institute's headquarters in Kolkata.

CMA P.V. Bhattad has been elected as the Vice-President of the Institute for the year.

CMA Dr. A.S. Durga Prasad is an accomplished executive with over 37 years' experience in financial and cost management in variety of industries. His experience includes financial advisory services, strategies and business development for small and medium industries and providing cost management systems and MIS systems for large number of units.

He has been involved in all facets of corporate strategic management, including developing business models, financial structuring, mergers and acquisitions, valuation of companies, capital structuring and advising clients on the future plan related to fund raising.

He has also been involved with a number of public offers and was advisor to a number of companies.

He is currently the managing director and chief executive officer of a business process management company and director of a boutique investment banking company.
