The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led-Delhi Government on Friday introduced the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi Assembly amidst chaos.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tabled the bill in the Assembly despite the objection of the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's letter to Speaker M.S. Dhir saying the bill does not have his approval on it.

Earlier today, Jung wrote to the Delhi Speaker, saying that the Jan Lokpal Bill cannot be tabled in the Assembly, as it does not have his approval on it.

After the bill was tabled, Congress MLA's surrounded the Speaker in protest and accused him of being partial towards the AAP.

Earlier, the house resumed after first adjournment, the Speaker read out the contents of the letter of the L-G in the Assembly. Afterwards, both the BJP and the Congress Party demanded a voting on the letter.

The assembly was adjourned for 30 minutes due to the protest by the Congress and the BJP on the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Both the BJP and the Congress attacked the AAP over the controversy surrounding Law Minister Somnath Bharti and demanded his resignation from the post.

Leader of Opposition Harsh Vardhan requested Speaker M.S. Dhir to read out the contents of the letter written to him by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung earlier today.

The Congress too demanded that the L-G's letter to be read out in the Assembly.

The session has been called for passage of contentious anti-corruption legislation Jan Lokpal Bill and Swaraj Bills proposed by Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.
