The movie is set in the backdrop of the Mumbai suburbs. It is an action-packed film based on the use of mixed martial arts (MMA).
The movie starts with Gary (Jackie Shroff) coming out of jail and revolves around the Fernandes family, which he helms.
Gary is a former MMA athlete and a drunkard to boot. He has a lovely wife Maria Fernandes (Shefali Shah) and two sons -- David (Akshay Kumar) and Monty (Siddharth).
Monty, however, is a son born out of an extra-marital affair, but a kind-hearted Maria and "older step-brother" David accept him as their own.
Gary finds it hard to give up alcohol and his low life.
On the night of Monty's birthday, an incident takes place, which makes David hate his dad and Monty, as its leads to his mother Maria's death.
All this happens in flash back.
Thereafter, the movie shifts to the present, where, David is married to Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez) and they have a daughter Kideny, who is weak physically.
Actor Kiran Kumar plays a character resembling former IPL czar Lalit Modi. He decides to bring India on the world MMA map and organises a multi-crore R2F (Right to Fight) tournament involving many international MMA stars. That's when the brothers decide to take part in the tournament.
The rest is up to you to see. The first half of the movie is a slow build up to an action-packed second half. Also, during the last fight, there are some cliched moments.
Some portions of the movie are stretched. However, if you are an MMA fan, do go and see it. Others can just sit back, wade through the first half and gear up for an action-packed second half.
The film's direction seems decent, its music is satisfactory and the acting by the leads is very good.
