Speculations are rife that Adele has been cast as iconic musician Dusty Springfield in a forthcoming biopic, based on the late singer's life.
A source close to the star told the Daily Star that Adele is attached to a project, but it's in the early stages of development.
Insiders have alleged that the film has been in the pipeline for years, with Duffy and Nicole Kidman both rumoured to be in line for the part.
Sources have asserted that the project will be set during the late 1960s when Springfield moved to Memphis to work with producers at Atlantic records.
It is understood that the 25-year-old mum-of-one, who has previously admitted that she is big fan of the late star, was chosen for the role because of her resemblance to the 'I Only Want To Be With You' hit maker.
The movie will apparently be helmed by Nick Hurran and written by 'Boardwalk Empire' screenwriter David Stenn.
