adidas India's Pulin Kumar secures place at 'Top General Counsels Power List'

adidas group India on Monday announced that Pulin Kumar, Group Senior Director Legal and Compliance has made his mark into the list of first edition of the GC (General Counsel) Power list for India of the "Legal 500" released.

The list was released in the presence of the Law Minister; Ravi Shankar Prasad, Justice A K Sikri and eminent lawyer Soli Sorabji.

Leading global legal directory unveiled its first GC Powerlist for India on 18th November, 2016 in a glittering high profile ceremony at Hotel Taj Man Singh, New Delhi where more than 100 guests from the legal fraternity attended the event. The Legal 500 has been analyzing the capabilities of the law firms across the world for last 29 years.

The GC Powerlist is the latest publication from the Legal 500, turning its attention to the in-house function, and recognizing those corporate counsels who are driving the legal business forward. The latest edition is the GC Powerlist: India, which identifies an array of the most influential and innovative in-house counsel working in the region.

"It is a privilege to be named in the first edition of the General Counsels Powerlist for India and thankful to "Legal 500" for their initiative in India. With the ever changing corporate dynamics General Counsels have a much larger role to play and take the company's interest further and this list recognizes the efforts of the General Counsel community," said Group Sr. Legal and Compliance Director of adidas India, Pulin Kumar.

The GC Powerlist is the series of publication, highlighting the most influential in-house lawyers in business today. The General Counsels featured in this list are chosen on the basis of research, analysis, interview and the opinion from the law firm partners and in-house counsel across India with a view to identify corporate counsel that have been instrumental in changing or forming opinions within their company or industry, developing brilliant technical solutions to complex issues, creating innovative structures to ensure that the in-house function is driving the business forward, or providing a business working model that other corporate counsel should follow.

The GC Powerlist India also includes the names of many other who's who from the industry such as Sudhir Jha; General Manager, Corporate Legal, of HDFC Limited, Badrinath Durvasula; Senior Vice President and Head Legal, Adani Group, Amar Kumar Sundaram; National Director of Legal and General Counsel, EY, Jasmeet Singh Wadehra; Head of Legal-Power, Vedanta Resources, Ashish Chandra; Group General Counsel and Head of Taxation of Snapdeal and many more.
