India's largest independent mobile wallet MobiKwik has announced its partnership with MTNL to facilitate cashless bill payments for its users in Mumbai.
MTNL landline users can now pay their bills seamlessly with their mobile phones within seconds using MobiKwik.
"We are proud to support the initiatives of MTNL in helping their customers pay bills easily with wallet money," said COO MobiKwik, Mrinal Sinha.
"Our teams are working round the clock towards expanding the network of MobiKwik payments and help Indians in adopting to demonetization well," added Sinha.
Within the last few days, MobiKwik has observed 100 times increase in merchant queries from Mumbai. The company has also recently tied up with SBI Life Insurance and BSNL for payments.
MobiKwik's merchant network includes Big Bazaar, IRCTC, Grofers, Big Basket, Swiggy, FoodPanda and many other leading brands and power discoms. Users can also recharge or pay bills for their DTH and phone connections on the app.
Users can load their MobiKwik wallet with net-banking, debit or credit card and cash. They can then enter the merchant's name in transfer/pay to tab on the app's front page and make the payment.
