Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday attended a mass marriage ceremony in Sonbhadra district.
The chief minister congratulated the couples who tied knots at the ceremony.
"Under the Chief Ministerial Collective Marriage Scheme, the Social Welfare Department has organised a mass marriage ceremony for 1,001 women today," Adityanath said while addressing the crowd here.
"I wish them all the best for their marriage, and I congratulate the team (department) for conducting a successful event,' he added.
In April this year, Adityanath had attended a mass marriage event at Gorakhpur where 50 Buddhist couples and 25 Muslim couples got married.
