Afghan ambassador to Pakistan Dr Omar Zakhilwal has called on Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters Rawalpindi and discussed regional security.
The two dignitaries further discussed matters of mutual interest and the current peace and security situation in Afghanistan, Geo TV reported, citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), as saying in a statement on Wednesday.
On a related note, United States Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Ambassador Alice G Wells also called on General Bajwa at GHQ on Tuesday.
The two dignitaries reaffirmed the commitment towards the common goal of peace and stability in the region and discussed issues of mutual interest, regional security, and cooperation between both the countries during the meeting.
