Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has firmly rejected reports issued in a UK newspaper, saying that no one approached him to rig the ODIs between English and Pakistan.
According to the Dawn, reports in the British tabloid newspaper had alleged that Pakistani cricketers Shahid Afridi and Umar Akmal turned down proposals by a bookmaker to rig the series between the two countries, which was won 4-0 by England.
However, Afridi had been quoted in the report saying that it had happened during that period and the person, who approached the Pakistani players on various occasions, had got the appropriate reply from him.
