Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is reportedly set to appear in the 75th anniversary issue of The Beano comic.
According to The Sun, Murray, who is the first British man to win at the All England Club in 77 years, has appeared in the comic before his triumph on Sunday.
The report further said that the Scot faces off against a tomboyish character in the comic, Minnie the Minx, on the court in the edition, which goes on sale on July 24.
Stating that they had always planned to include the British No.1 in the issue, the comic's editor Craig Graham said that they have now re-worked the strip to reflect his historic win at the Wimbledon, adding that he hoped that Murray and their readers liked this special issue.
Graham further said that as the Beano would be celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, they have worked hard to put together an extra special issue that is full of menacing, pranks and jokes, adding that the issue will also feature special guest writers, illustrators and celebrity contributions.
Graham further said that the issue would also contain young comic genius Zoom Rockman's debut Beano strip, adding that many other celebrities, who are yet to be announced, are also set to join Dennis the Menace and other characters for the special edition.
The Beano has featured many British celebrities in past issues, including the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, English TV personality Simon Cowell, DJ Chris Evans and Olympic champion Jessica Ennis, the report added.
