'Airlift' earns Rs. 72.50 cr, heading towards Rs. 100 cr club

With a steady start on January 22 with a Box-Office collection of INR 12.35 crore, the film has made INR 72.50 crore in five days.

The film, heading towards INR 100 crore club, goes sensational on Tuesday with an anticipation of surpassing Akshay's highest *Week 1* biz, 'Rowdy Rathore' which earned INR 79.52 crore in a week.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted the news, saying, "#Airlift is SENSATIONAL on Tue. Crosses ? 70 cr. Should easily surpass Akshay's highest *Week 1* biz - #RowdyRathore ? 79.52 cr..."

#Airlift Fri 12.35 cr, Sat 14.60 cr, Sun 17.35 cr, Mon 10.40 cr, Tue 17.80 cr. Total: ? 72.50 cr. India biz. Speeding towards ? 100 cr. FAB!" he added.

Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur-starrer patriotic movie, made to salute the heroes of Indian Army and Air India in the rescue operation conducted at Jordan and Kuwait, was found touching hearts in its second day of release.

The movie has received a huge positive response from the movie critics and thus, ruling out all phases of Bollywood today.
