Ajay Devgn, who has recently released the trailer of his production venture 'Parched,' feels this women-oriented movie is actually for men to learn what women are and how to behave with them.

"This movie is not for the women as they have nothing as such to learn from this film. It shows how the women are treated. So from this movie, men need to learn how a woman should be treated," he said yesterday at the trailer launch event here.

'Parched,' which was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015 and was screened at many other international film fests, took a year to release in India.

Speaking on the same, director Leena Yadav thanked Ajay for his support and said, "Logistics and finding support for the release are the reason for the delay in movie's release. Hence we thank him (Ajay Devgn) for backing the film."

Continuing on the same note, the 'Shivaay' actor added, "This may be an issue the world deals with, but it is a story of our nation. It is really sad that we had to premiere this movie in the West, instead of India. There we have audience who accept such films. Now, when this movie has got appreciation there, we can expect an acceptance here in India."

With this Ajay even asked the audience to break the "myth that only commercial films run well at the box office."

The movie revolves around life of four women, who live an unwanted life in a village of north-western region of India, which still suffers from age-old issues like forced child marriages, spousal and familial rape and others. It tells the story of their standing up for themselves.

Several celebrities took to their Twitter handles to share their words of appreciation for the trailer of this critically acclaimed film.
