The UPA Government has called an All Party Meet tomorrow at 12 noon to discuss various issues and expressed regret over the fact that no business was conducted in the Parliament in the previous week.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kamal Nath disclosed today that the All Party Meet is scheduled at 12 noon tomorrow.
"The first week has been a wash out, but we have decided to have all party meeting at 12 noon tomorrow for mutual consultations on various issues," he told media here today.
Earlier in the day, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 p.m. after some members in both houses did not allow proceedings to commence.
In the Lok Sabha, Speaker Meira Kumar managed to deliver an obituary notice condoling the death of former union minister Devendra Prasad Yadav, before being forced to adjourn proceedings after some members moves towards the Well of the House with demands for maintaining a united Andhra Pradesh and not to go ahead with the formation of the state of Telangana. Members also demanded an explanation for the violence in Kashmir.
The Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned thrice on Monday-once shortly after 11 a.m. a second time at 11.25 a.m., and finally at noon after it reconvened with Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari in the chair.
The third adjournment of the Upper House took place over a disagreement over the order of precedence in delivering speeches before members of the house.
