Islamabad High Court's Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi has issued notices to the Pakistani government as the alleged mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attacks Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi challenged his detention orders.
Authorities had detained Lakhvi on December 19 under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO) in Adiala jail for 30 days following which he was granted bail by an anti-terrorism court (ATC), reported The Express Tribune.
Lakhvi, through his counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi, had challenged his detention orders, contending that they are 'illegal'.
Lakhvi is detained at the Adiala jail at present with other suspects allegedly involved in the Mumbai attacks.
