Amanda Seyfried and Ed Helms are all set to star in Dito Montiel's comedy 'The Clapper' opposite each other.
The comedy, which is an adaptation of his own novel of the same name, follows the story of Eddie Krumble who works as a professional clapper for infomercials who gets chosen by a late night talk show host to be on his TV series and his resulting 15 minutes of fame has life-changing consequences for him, including losing the job he loves, Deadline reported.
The 42-year-old actor will play Eddie, while the 30-year-old actress will portray his girlfriend Judy, whom he loses after his chat show appearance.
Montiel wants the film to highlight the problems that instant fame can cause in today's reality programme driven society.
