Amazon Alexa coming to select Coolpad smartphones in India

Leading global smartphone technology brand, Coolpad Group, on Wednesday announced during the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2018 that it will integrate Amazon's voice service, Alexa, across its devices.

Coolpad will be the first Amazon exclusive brand in India which will introduce Alexa in their smartphones.

Amazon Alexa on Coolpad smartphones will give consumers a more complete smart mobile experience as they will be able to use their Coolpad smartphone to access the abundance of Alexa skills with just their voice.

Coolpad smartphone users can give voice command for multiple tasks, using the Coolpad Alexa app and can ask Alexa to play their favorite music, shop from Amazon.in, as well as access information such as weather, calendar, to-do lists and news briefings, that are set up through the Alexa app.

"We are working to immerse more Artificial Intelligence (AI) and tech into smartphones to make the experience more intelligent, friendly and beneficial for the customers. Incorporating Alexa in Coolpad smartphones is one such step in that direction," said CEO, Coolpad India, Syed Tajuddin.

"As Coolpad is looking forward to make smartphones more intelligent and helpful with AI, Alexa is a perfect fit. We will be rolling out Alexa in Cool Play 6, Note 5 and Note 5 via an OTA update and our upcoming devices will have Amazon Alexa pre-installed in them. It will definitely make the Coolpad devices even more convenient and helpful for customers," Tajuddin added.

Already available in USA, Coolpad will be the first Amazon exclusive smartphone brand in India to introduce Amazon Alexa in there smartphones.
