Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday criticised Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for not valuing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts for the development of India.
"Rahul Gandhi will not see the difference that Prime Minister Modi has brought because he is wearing Italian glasses," said Shah while addressing a public meeting in Kerala's Palakkad district.
He added that Rahul Gandhi was born with a silver spoon but Prime Minister Modi has seen poverty.
Urging the people of Kerala to vote for his party in the 2016 assembly elections, Shah said that the BJP government in six months reduced the price of petrol ten times.
He also said that the Central Government took all possible steps to bring back the Indian nurses stranded in Iraq.
He further blamed the ruling Oommen Chandy led Congress government in Kerala for the increasing unemployment and reducing per-capita income in the state.
