American comedian-actor Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski were detained in Washington DC for protesting against US Supreme Court judge nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who is facing multiple sexual assault charges.
According to Page Six, various videos posted across Twitter saw Schumer saying 'yes' to a police officer when she was asked whether she wanted to be arrested or not for the protest against the nominee.
On the other hand, other celebrities who joined Schumer in efforts to stop the US Senate's vote in favour of Kavanaugh also included model Emily Ratajkowski.
Taking to her Twitter handle Ratajkowski wrote, "Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power."
The protest, which was organized by a Women's March group, saw Schumer holding a "We believe Anita Hill" sign. Since, Anita Hill, a well known American attorney stood against Clarence Thomas, another Supreme Court nominee back in 1991 and accused him of sexual harassment.
