Japanese traditional food was recently added to the cultural heritage list of the United Nations cultural organization.
And to make Japanese food popular, All Nippon Airways (ANA) has introduced 'Sake', an alcoholic beverage of Japanese origin made from fermented rice.
ANA will serve 564 varieties of Sake from 47 prefectures at its lounge.
Ceremonial event to break barrel of Sake "KagamiBiraki" was performed by Miss Kimono, Mr Shinohara Chairman of Sake association and Mr. Keiji Oka Division director of ANA.
Sake will help promote Japan's culture all over the world. It will contribute to attract more foreign tourists to Japan.
Some foreigners were also present at the Sake promotion event. A visitor from New Zealand says, "I am very familiar with Japanese Sake in Japanese restaurant. Comparing to New Zealand wine it is not fruity but wrath. Sometimes strong taste of Sake attracts us".
Other guest was from Texas, USA who tasted Sake with Sushi especially salmon in loco Japanese restaurant every month.
His mother brought souvenir Potato Shochu from Hokkaido. A fan of Japanese Sake is thrilled about ANA's decision to serve Sake.
Those who can get an opportunity to visit ANA lounge can taste the popular Japanese Sake.
