Andhra CM Naidu to embark on three-nation visit to attract investment

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will leave on a three-nation visit from October 18-26 to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in the state.

The CM will visit United States of America (USA), United Arab Emirates (UAE) and United Kingdom (UK) with the aim to attract investments, tapping new technologies and finalising the designs of administrative city of capital Amaravati.

Dr Parakala Prabhakar, advisor to Andhra Pradesh government, briefed media about the details of Naidu's foreign sojourn.

"CM Naidu will be in USA from October 18 to 20. He will be spending 21 to 23 in UAE. In the last leg of his tour, the CM will be in UK where he will finalise the designs for administrative buildings of Amaravati. He will also receive Golden Peacock award," Prabhakar said.

He further informed, "In UK, Naidu will meet Normon Foster and partners, attend round table conference with UK India Business Council (UKIBC) and interact with investors. The CM will also round table conference with CEOs of ten companies led by 'Institute of Directors', a non-profit apex association of company directors.

Prabhakar said that CM Naidu will receive Golden Peacock Awards for corporate governance and sustainability, IOD distinguished fellowship and leadership.

While Municipal Minister P Narayana will be part of UK and UAE visit; Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Advisor to the government of Andhra Pradesh Dr Parakala Prabhakar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister G Sai Prasad, and CEO of Economic Development Board J Krishna Kishore will accompany CM Naidu in all the three nations.

Energy and Infra Principal Secretary Ajay Jain will visit UAE and UK with CM Naidu.

Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) commissioner Ch Sridhar will visit UK.

Industries Department Secretary Solomon Arogyaraj and APNRT president Vemuri Ravi will visit UAE with CM Naidu.
