Tennis ace Andy Murray's mother has revealed about the relief and guilt that she felt on finding out that her sons- Murray and Jamie- had survived the Dunblane massacre.
According to the Mirror, Judy, 54, said she waited for news with a woman she had known since school, whose daughter died.
She said that she was relieved when she came to know that her sons had survived and at the same time felt terrible when she realized that her daughter was no more.
The Wimbledon champion was eight and Jamie, 10, when Thomas Hamilton burst into the primary school in 1996 and killed 16 children and their teacher before killing himself, the report said.
Talking to Radio Times, she recalled the time when her sons had a close shave with death.
She also paid tribute to the staff for their bravery, saying that the teachers and dinner ladies did an amazing job in containing all the children, feeding them, and getting them out without them being aware of what had happened.
Judy shared that she only gets emotional when talking about her two sons' Wimbledon wins when she is back in Dunblane.
She said that when one goes through a really dark, tragic time, and then comes to a real high, it helps people to feel something really positive about the town.
