Angelina Jolie talks about 'unspeakable brutality' in Iraqi refugee camp

Angelina Jolie had visited Iraqi refugees and was left speechless for the people there who are struggling to survive.

The 'Unbroken' actress wrote an impassioned 'New York Times Op-Ed' and expressed her deep sorrow for the people there who are desperately seeking shelters from the fighting that has convulsed their region, E! Online reported.

The mother of six said that she was shocked when it came to answer a mother who says her daughter is in the hands of the Islamic State, or ISIS, and that she wishes to be there, even if meant to be raped and tortured, or when it came to answer a 13-year-old girl who explained her situation when she was forced to get raped by the men.

The 39-year-old actress informed with the figures that in almost 4 years of war, nearly half of Syria's population of 23 million people has been uprooted and been facing unspeakable brutality.

Jolie concluded that a much more assistance was needed to help Syria's neighbors bear the unsustainable burden of millions of refugees, and advised people that it wasn't enough to defend the values at home, in the newspapers, they also have to be defended in the refugee camps.
