Apple announces launch date of iOS 9, WatchOS 2 on September 16

Apple has announced the launch date for iOS 9 and WatchOS 2.

According to the The Next Web, both iOS 9 and WatchOS 2 will be launched on September 16, 2015.

Apple's iOS 9 includes a number of new features, such as split screen support for the iPad, predictive Siri, content blockers for Safari and more.

The 'gold master' of iOS 9 has been made available for the registered developers to test their apps on ahead of the release, which can be downloaded for USD 99 developer fee.

Meanwhile, WatchOS 2 brings animated wallpapers, third-party complications and native apps.
